English Turn, located on the Westbank, can be described as much more than a neighborhood, as it is actually a “community” in itself. There is a sense of privacy and security given by the manned gates, which allow only limited access into the area.
Offering the extraordinary, certainly any taste can be satisfied by one of the twelve individual communities that form English Turn. Several of the communities are named, representative of their setting. “The Estates” is made up of homes located in such close proximity to the beautiful golf course that the course could be described as the “back yard.” “The Lakes” or “Harbour Town” are just two of the areas in which homes have a lake view, or are actually situated on the water. “The Manors” is made up of homes situated on heavily wooded sites, providing an abundance of natural beauty, as well as offering increased privacy. The wooded fitness trail, which encompasses exercise stations, is the centerpiece for the area known as “The Parks.”
With its gated entrances, community parks and playgrounds, English Turn offers a playtime environment for children of all ages. Picnic areas, a basketball court and a softball diamond add to the recreation offered.
Private bus service is available to shuttle students to and from five local schools.
Community events include the PGA Tour’s Compaq Classic, and a Kid’s Club that offers numerous events for children of all ages throughout the year.
